Criminal
Record Checks. |
|
In
today’s world an effective recruitment checking process is becoming
more important to all types of organisations. |
The
Criminal Records Bureau now provides a facility for organisations and
employers to check the backgrounds of employees, potential employees and
volunteers. |
|
These checks, now replacing what became known as ‘Police checks’, are known as Disclosure, and were introduced by the Police Act 1997. Currently two levels of Disclosure, Standard or Enhanced, are available from the CRB, the level available being dependant on the role to be undertaken. |
||
To
gain access to the information and use either Standard or Enhanced Disclosure
the requesting organisation must either be registered with the Criminal
Records Bureau or use the services of an Umbrella Body. |
NDF
Associates are registered as an Umbrella Body and as such can assist organisations
entitled to information from the CRB. |
|
Generally
the Disclosure service may be used:- |
